Oilfield Instrumentation Offers Innovative New Offshore Super Centers
LAFAYETTE, La., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Oilfield Instrumentation (OI), which provides certified offshore buildings, real-time drilling instrumentation, and well-site servicing, announced the availability of its new offshore "Super Centers" to minimize disruption and maximize space efficiency of offshore rigs.
The first OI Offshore Super Center is a 20 x 35-foot building that provides all-in-one space for offshore operators. It combines a multi-functional conference room with monitors and table connectivity, a room for measure-while-drilling systems, cementing and mud logging office and storage space. The first Super Center was custom developed for a service company on the Atwood Deepwater Condor in the Gulf of Mexico.
By combining multiple service units into one offshore building, the OI Offshore Super Center offers significant financial and logistical benefits. Only one building must be transported to loading docks for barge transfer, and only one offloading is required to lift the building up to the rig.
Oilfield Instrumentation President Peyton Reddick commented on the innovative new building structure: "In today's operating environment, oil and gas companies need continuous innovation in the ways they operate. Oilfield Instrumentation is proud to have custom-designed and manufactured a prototype which already is working in the Gulf of Mexico and we are now ready to bring this efficient product to other service companies and operators as well.
"Our in-house manufacturing facility allows us to construct buildings for any combination of services, of any size or layout, in compliance with any certification requirements, including DNV, ABS and Norsok," Reddick concluded. The engineers and manufacturing facility at Oilfield Instrumentation are geared up to produce custom Super Centers upon request. Inquirers should direct questions about the Super Center to Oilfield Instrumentation at 337-984-4401 or by emailing [email protected].
