Oilfield Helping Hands Again Selected as 2011 Hunting Art Prize Charity

HOUSTON, March 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hunting PLC announced it will once again donate proceeds from the 2011 Hunting Art Prize to Oilfield Helping Hands, a non-profit that provides assistance to oil and gas industry workers who are in financial crisis.

This is the second consecutive year the organization has been selected as the charity for the Prize. In part because of Hunting's contribution in 2010, Oilfield Helping Hands is preparing to expand into Oklahoma and Louisiana during 2011.

Dennis Proctor, Chief Executive of Hunting PLC, whose U.S. corporate headquarters are in Houston, said, "Last year, our donation played a role in enabling Oilfield Helping Hands to begin broadening its reach and bring more assistance to more people in this region. The $50,000 Hunting Art Prize is historically the most generous annual award in North America for painting and drawing. Hunting moved the Prize to Houston in 2006 after a quarter century in the United Kingdom, where the Prize emerged as one of Great Britain's top art awards.

The recipient of the 2011 award will be announced at an April 30 gala in Houston.
