OHL will be the sponsor for this CoP supporting collaborative networking opportunities that lead to the successful delivery of projects in the transportation industry. "OHL is very excited to sponsor and lead the launch of the Transportation Community of Practice in Nashville," said Darren Cockrel, OHL CIO and PMP 2006. "We believe the Nashville area and transportation leaders will benefit by the opportunities to engage with their peers on common challenges and opportunities that they face."
"We are really pleased to have OHL sponsor and help launch the Transportation CoP," said Jennifer Schenck, Board President of the Nashville, TN Chapter PMI. "Most people are unaware of the growth and size of the transportation and warehousing industry in the middle Tennessee area. The launch of CoP helps support an important industry and community for these professionals."
The inaugural meeting will be a special kick off interactive event and Darren Cockrel, OHL CIO, will speak at the event to take place on October 15th at OHL's Brentwood, TN headquarters. Please register at: www.pminashville.org
Regular meetings for the Nashville PMI Transportation CoP will be held quarterly and the schedule posted on www.pminashville.org. Cost of attendance for the inaugural and regular meetings will be $5 for PMI members and $10 for non-members and will earn 1.5 PDU credits. Attendance will be open to any student, PMI member or guest, and Project Manager Candidates. The topics will be focused on the transportation, logistics, and warehouse industry.
