Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Expands Technology Practice with New Senior Staff
Agency additions deepen enterprise and digital lifestyle service offerings
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, announced today the appointments of Jason Stolarczyk, senior vice president, and Shelley Risk, vice president, to the agency's Western US Technology Practice.
Stolarczyk is a 15-year communications veteran, with experience leading global teams in the areas of marketing, PR, branding, social media, thought-leadership, sales support and corporate events. Most recently, he was part of award-winning programs at both IBM and Microsoft, where he led communications investments for product teams covering both hardware and software, from microelectronics to embedded technologies and corporate licensing.
Risk has more than eight-years experience in agency PR, specializing in consumer technology, consumer packaged goods and social media marketing. She was most recently responsible for leading the consumer technology/Web 2.0 practice and developing social content strategy for the Horn Group, including notable work with Coremetrics, Ebates, hi5, Kyte and SFMOMA. Risk has worked on both large business clients such as QUALCOMM and Wells Fargo, and also has led consumer campaigns involving celebrity spokespeople, national sweepstakes, viral marketing and event management.
"It remains critical to attract talent who bring deep subject matter expertise," said Dushka Zapata, executive vice president and head of Ogilvy PR's San Francisco office. "Just as important, we must bring our clients advisors who understand how to be effective in the digital world of unfiltered, influencer-based communications. Jason and Shelley bring us those critical skills, and we are delighted to have them join our team."
Both Stolarczyk and Risk will join the existing agency leadership in extending the value of current client investments, and also will be focused on contributing to Ogilvy PR's plans for continued growth within the agency's Technology Practice.
Stolarczyk holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia; and Risk holds a bachelor's degree in Communications & Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the University of Washington-Seattle.
