Ogilvy Public Relations Announces Senior Hires to its New York Office
Ogilvy PR/New York Adds Six Vice Presidents across its Corporate Affairs, Media Influence, Employee Engagement and Healthcare Practices
NEW YORK, Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, welcomes six vice presidents to its New York office: Charlotte McLaughlin, Corporate Affairs; Alisha Marks Tischler, Media Influence; Melissa Ng, Ogilvy Impact (employee engagement); and Kara Golub, Linda Ruckel and Christopher Wahlers, all in healthcare.

Charlotte McLaughlin joins the Corporate Affairs Group as Vice President, bringing extensive experience in investor relations and advisory to support multiple accounts. Most recently, McLaughlin was Director, Investor Relations and Financial Communications at Taylor Rafferty/Broadgate in New York, where she managed IR for large cap European companies including SABMiller Plc and SAP AG. Prior to that, she worked at the Maitland Consultancy in London, as an Associate Partner, servicing financial clients and developing the firm's brand externally through IR advisory. McLaughlin started her career at JPMorgan, where she was a graduate in the Debt Capital Markets in both London and New York.
Alisha Marks Tischler joins the New York Media Influence team as a Vice President, leading strategic media relations initiatives and executive positioning for Ogilvy PR's clients across all practices. Most recently, Tischler worked at Schwartz Media Strategies as a Vice President, where she oversaw the firm's corporate, public affairs and professional service division as well as media strategy and campaign development for clients including Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA), InterContinental Miami Hotel and Miami Science Museum. Prior to that, she worked at rbb Public Relations and Fletcher Martin Public Relations.
Melissa Ng, Vice President, brings more than eight years experience in change management, training development and organizational effectiveness and design to Ogilvy Impact, Ogilvy PR's employee engagement practice. Supporting clients across industries, Ng will develop and execute strategic communications for clients' internal audiences. Previously, she worked at Acquis Consulting Group as a Senior Associate, providing management consulting, client engagement and business strategy to clients including Pfizer, College Board, and Genentech. Before that, Ng was the Change Management Lead at Accenture responsible for a global financial transformation training initiative for Marriott and its brands surrounding the retirement of legacy transactional and reporting systems. Previous to Accenture, Ng managed the Human Capital team for a business and IT consulting company, Excelacom, for over four years.
Kara Golub joins the Healthcare Practice as Vice President, providing strategic communications counsel for a variety of clients, including Boehringer Ingelheim. Golub brings more than 13 years of experience to Ogilvy PR, having previously managed a wide range of health-related programs in partnership with leading pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organizations. She has extensive experience handling product communications in oncology, virology, neurology, urology, women's health, and overall health and wellness. Most recently, she was a Vice President at Ruder Finn where she provided counsel and implemented high-profile consumer campaigns, data/regulatory announcements and healthcare social media initiatives. Before that, Golub worked at Alembic Health Communications/Cooney Waters Group and Porter Novelli.
Linda Ruckel, Vice President, brings a deep expertise to Ogilvy PR's Healthcare Practice in developing and implementing strategic programs for leading healthcare companies, government agencies and internationally recognized medical centers. Ruckel will support the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) on partnership development and dissemination of treatment options information. Previously, she served as a Vice President at MSLGroup in the Health and Medical Center Practice, developing integrated communications campaigns for a client portfolio including Shriners Hospitals for Children. Other career highlights include communications strategy and execution for Montefiore Medical Center and the Food and Drug Administration.
Christopher Wahlers joins the Healthcare Practice as Vice President, bringing 12 years experience in developing strategic planning and programming for companies and brands within the health sector. Most recently, Wahlers worked at MWW Group as a Vice President, creating and managing executions of campaigns for Deloitte LSHC (Life Sciences Health Care). Prior to that, he spent eight years at Edelman, where he managed corporate communications efforts for Biogen Idec, worked to create executive leadership communications platforms for Merck Vaccines and Fresenius, and supported branded and unbranded awareness campaigns for pharmaceutical clients, such as GSK and AstraZeneca.
