SOUTH MIAMI, Fla., Nov. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ofo, the world's leading station-free bike-sharing company, launched operations in South Miami today.
Mayor of South Miami Phillip Stoddard and other elected officials including Vice Mayor Robert Welsh, Commissioner Gabriel Edmond, Commissioner Josh Liebman, Commissioner Walter Harris, City Manager Steven Alexander and Deputy City Manager Shari Kamali celebrated the beginning of station-free bike-sharing in the city at an event held Tuesday morning at City Hall.

ofo bikes provide the benefits of bike-sharing without the limitations of docking stations. Bicycles are located using a GPS finder on ofo's mobile app and are equipped with a smart lock on the rear wheel. Users can unlock the bikes by scanning a QR code on the bike, using their phones. Rides cost $1 per hour.
