Official US Open Ticket Exchange Ready to Serve Tennis Fans
USTA partners with Ticketmaster and TicketsNow to provide secure marketplace for fans to buy and resell guaranteed authentic tickets to 2010 US Open Championships
NEW YORK, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The USTA, TicketsNow, and Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. operating business, have launched the US Open Ticket Exchange, the premier resale marketplace for buying and selling US Open tickets. The US Open Ticket Exchange is the only resale marketplace to provide fans with ticket barcode authentication technology, meaning every ticket purchased and sold is validated and authentic, and is the only resale marketplace endorsed by the USTA.
For the first time, in a single marketplace powered by Ticketmaster and TicketsNow, the official US Open Ticket Exchange combines inventory from season ticket holders and other resellers to offer the widest selection of US Open tickets. The US Open Ticket Exchange also features TicketFast® electronic delivery, providing fans the added convenience of printing their tickets at home. Additionally, ticket holders who are unable to attend specific sessions can post their tickets for sale, offering fellow fans the opportunity to purchase tickets for courtside and other great seats.
The US Open is the highest-attended annual sporting event in the world, with a record 720,227 fans passing through the turnstiles last year. As a result, demand for US Open tickets is always high and making sure every ticket is authentic is a must. To meet the increasing demand for US Open tickets, the USTA is extending its partnership with Ticketmaster and TicketsNow to provide the most secure, convenient resale marketplace where fans can buy and sell US Open tickets.
"We are thrilled to once again team with the USTA to offer tennis fans a secure and convenient way to buy and sell US Open tickets," said Ron Bension, CEO of TicketsNow. "This partnership makes it possible for even more fans to experience the excitement of US Open tennis."
The 2010 US Open Championships will be held August 30 through September 12 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY.
