"You don't need complicated solutions for everyday organizational challenges," said Peter Walsh, renowned organization expert, author and television personality. "My new collection at OfficeMax is all about inspiring people to manage their clutter in new and creative ways. This collection encourages customers to be innovative with organization and provides plenty of options that help them to customize a system that suits their needs."
Following a successful launch of you.organized in 2010, Walsh has expanded his collection at OfficeMax based on customer feedback to make de-cluttering at home, on the road, and at work easy for everyone. Each item in the collection serves a purpose with multiple functions, and includes simple and intuitive enhancements such as wide elastic bands on the journal and binders that help keep items – such as sticky notes and pens – bundled together. Circular "window" cutouts on the expanding and hanging files folders offer a peek inside at the colorful interior and enables users to customize the products by adding a photo or label. The collection also includes items with rich, sophisticated details such as a journal with a genuine leather cover. Walsh is also introducing a few reinvented organizational products such as a desk set that includes a letter tray, a pen cup and a writing board. A mini file with notepad includes five expanding pockets on the inside cover ideal for receipts, shopping lists and daily to-do lists.
"Peter's new you.organized collection builds upon his unique organizational philosophy and helps our customers reduce clutter, work more efficiently, and feel empowered to do their best work," said Ryan Vero, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer for OfficeMax. "OfficeMax embraces Peter's philosophy and is thrilled to bring new Peter Walsh products to our customers to kick-off the New Year."
To bring Walsh's philosophies to life, each item in the collection incorporates an organizational tip from Walsh into the product design. Some examples include "Make a to-do list and group like tasks together to be more efficient," and "Forget about having a miscellaneous file. If something is worth putting in a folder, it's worth adding a specific label." Walsh's new collection is available exclusively at OfficeMax stores nationwide or at OfficeMax.com.
Also this month, Walsh is launching a new book titled Lighten Up: Love What You Have, Have What You Need, Be Happier with Less published by Simon & Shuster and available for purchase in OfficeMax stores nationwide. Walsh is also starring a new show on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network called Enough Already! with Peter Walsh premiering on January 3, 2011.
Walsh first partnered with OfficeMax in January 2009 to launch [IN]PLACE® SYSTEM by Peter Walsh, featuring a system of versatile, flexible and portable organization products for managing paper clutter. Walsh continues to work with OfficeMax to share his organizational expertise and develop products that address modern organizational challenges in today's office setting.
