An unqualified opinion means that the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position and the results of OJP's operations in conformity with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles. Auditors identified no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses in our internal controls, as well as no instances of non-compliance of laws and regulations. Although resources have been limited, staff has work efficiently and effectively to produce accurate financial reporting. OJP provides financial stewardship as well as programmatic monitoring and oversight for nearly 14,000 active grants totaling almost $10 billion, performing these critical management functions at a miniscule cost of less than 2 cents for every dollar in OJP's active grant portfolio.
