OEM Group Opens New Applications Development Lab for Wet Processing Solutions

PHOENIX, Sept. 3, 2013  /PRNewswire/ -- Global semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer OEM Group announced the opening of the new Chemical Process Technology™ (CPT) Applications Development Lab in their Coopersburg, PA facility, the former Rhetech site. The Lab will house the full suite of CPT technologies: including, ECO Strip/Clean, Spray Acid, Spray Solvent, and HF Vapor platforms. The CPT product line was created in 2011 with OEM Groups acquisition of the manual batch products from Applied Materials-Semitool, and is part of the expanding LEGENDS™ portfolio.

With the Lab's extensive capabilities, customers will be able to evaluate and develop processes prior to an investment and eliminate any risk. The facility will play a central role in the development of processes aimed at reducing the overall cost of ownership in both the FEOL and BEOL areas.  "We recognize that our customers are utilizing new materials and our Applications Development Lab will allow us to work closely with them to qualify the challenges these new chemistries pose," said Chris Forgey, OEM Group CTO.

Customers will also be able to experience the benefits of the patented ECO™ process that delivers CoO reductions for resist strips and RCA cleans. "The system delivers a process that virtually eliminates chemistry; has zero waste disposal costs; and reduces DI water usage by as much as 85%," said Paul Inman, CPT Product Manager, "We are committed to assisting our customers to reduce their costs, improve cycle time, and meet increasing environmental regulations." 

The Coopersburg, PA facility is OEM Group's center of excellence for all Wet Process manufacturing, engineering, and technical support. The latest generation Cintillio™ product line was integrated into the facility earlier this year and customers have been delighted with the software and hardware improvements integrated within the new systems.
