OEConnection Opens Technology Office in Columbus, Ohio

RICHFIELD, Ohio, Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- OEConnection LLC, the leading Online Parts and Service Exchange (OPSX) for the automotive industry, has announced the opening of a 5500-square-foot technology office in Columbus, Ohio – a strategic expansion that will house the resources for applications development and infrastructure support of international web-based solutions.  Located in the renovated Smith Bros' Hardware Co. building on Fourth Street, and within a few miles of The Ohio State University and other colleges, the satellite office was initiated to help OEConnection attract and cultivate the top technology talent needed to expand into international markets.

In addition to recruitment opportunities, the Columbus, Ohio, satellite office will enable OEConnection to expand its partnerships with academia to collaborate on Information Technology projects and research.  Already, OEConnection is exploring computer-based modeling research opportunities with The Ohio State University's CETI Office for enterprise transformation and innovation.

Led by John Kelly, OEConnection Director of Applications, Columbus Technology Center, the office will employ approximately 15 -20 associates by the second quarter of 2011, growing to 30 associates in 2012.
