The Red Book v3.0 reflects 10 years of use and consideration by OCEG's global membership, which is now approaching 50,000 individuals worldwide. "The Red Book makes it easier to plan, assess, and improve integrated GRC, and helps both business leaders and operational managers align their organization's objectives, strategies, and capabilities," said OCEG Co-Founder and President, Carole Switzer. Switzer explained, "Today, global markets, new regulations, and evolving technologies place enormous pressure on organizations. Reliably achieving objectives, while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity, are key concerns of our members. We're excited to provide this guidance to GRC professionals and decision makers."
"I was pleased to serve as co-chair of the original steering committee on development of the OCEG GRC Capability Model, and have long encouraged its use by auditors to measure the appropriateness of design and actual operation of GRC capabilities. With this latest update, OCEG goes even further in clarifying the importance of risk-based strategic planning and decision making, and I recommend the Model as a key resource for all three lines of defense in any organization," said Larry Harrington, global chairman of The IIA, and chief audit executive (CAE) for Raytheon Company.
Additionally, OCEG has updated the GRC Professional Certification exam and GRC Fundamentals on-demand training and now allows members who hold an OCEG All Access Pass the opportunity to take the GRC Professional Certification exam and maintain GRC Professional and GRC Audit certification at no additional cost.
"It's great to see OCEG making GRC certifications more accessible to everyone. Both employers and prospective employees benefit when the effort is made to gain more knowledge and stronger skills, and I'd encourage any employer with openings in compliance, risk, audit, and other GRC roles to look for the GRCP or GRCA on the resumes they review," said Jack Kelly, managing director of The Compliance Search Group.
