OceansLIVE to broadcast Capitol Hill Ocean Week

WASHINGTON, June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- OceansLIVE will cover proceedings at Capitol Hill Ocean Week (CHOW), the nation's premier ocean-focused conference, June 10-12, in Washington, D.C. Hosted by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, CHOW provides an annual forum for marine professionals, government officials, and ocean enthusiasts to discuss the current state – and future – of our ocean and coasts.
Presented by NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, OceansLIVE streams live programming on ocean topics, bringing the ocean to communities nationwide through a multi-media approach.
The OceansLIVE CHOW broadcasts begin at 10 a.m. Eastern, Tuesday, June 10, with coverage of the opening keynote address by John Podesta, Counselor to the President.
Other notable speakers include, Sally Jewell, Secretary of the Interior; Barton Seaver, Chef and Program Director, Healthy and Sustainable Food Program at Harvard School of Public Health's Center for Health and the Global Environment; Chris Lischewski, President and CEO, Bumble Bee Seafoods; and Dan Laffoley, Marine Vice Chair, IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas.
