Oceanside Community Leaders Aim to Reach Higher, Dream Bigger with School Choice Event
OCEANSIDE, Calif., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Educators, parents, students, and community leaders are joining together to recognize the success and growth of Scholarship Prep Charter School. On Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 8:30 a.m. hundreds of local community members will visit Scholarship Prep Charter School to attend the celebration of open enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. The Honorable Peter Weiss, mayor of Oceanside, will be speaking at the event.
The event coincides with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

In fact, we believe that Oceanside is a model for the rest of the state," said Scholarship Prep Charter School co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Retired Senator Gloria Romero.
