Oceans Healthcare Names Stuart Archer CEO

Accomplished healthcare operator to lead behavioral health company through next phase of growth

LAKE CHARLES, La., Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Oceans Healthcare, a leading provider of behavioral health services for adult and geriatric patients, announced today that it has named healthcare executive Stuart Archer as CEO.

Archer, who has extensive experience in the management of multi-state and multi-site healthcare operations will lead all facets of the nationally recognized behavioral health provider, which includes 14 inpatient behavioral healthcare facilities and eight intensive outpatient programs in Louisiana and Texas. He will assume his new role officially in November, succeeding current Oceans CEO and co-founder, Jason Reed, who will remain a member of the Oceans board of directors.

Most recently, Archer has served as COO of LifeCare Hospitals, an operator of 24 long-term acute care hospitals in nine states. In that role, he has led all aspects of the Plano, Texas-based company's day-to-day operations. Prior to joining LifeCare, Archer served as a senior vice president for LHC Group, a leading national provider of post-acute care services with 350 locations across 29 states. He holds a bachelor's degree in human physiology from Louisiana's Northwestern State University and a master's degree in business administration from Louisiana State University.
