Oblon Announces New Head of Tokyo Office
ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt, LLP, is pleased to announce that Oblon partner, Yuki Onoe, has been appointed as new head of the firm's Tokyo office.
Ms. Onoe offers clients a valuable combination of legal, business, and scientific experience. Her extensive knowledge of the Japanese market and her focus on chemistry related applications will help to strengthen Oblon's presence and growth in IP markets across the region. Oblon's Tokyo-based attorneys provide a full range of Intellectual Property services including litigation, opinions and counseling, patent prosecution, and post-grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Ms. Onoe is a partner in the firm's Chemical Patent Prosecution, Pharmaceutical/Medical Devices, and Life Sciences Practice Group. Ms. Onoe prepares and prosecutes U.S. patent applications in the areas including pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, nutritional supplements, optical materials, and battery components. She also provides legal opinions and counseling, and assists clients in pre-litigation investigations, discovery, and post-grant proceedings. She holds a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School.
