COLUMBIA, Mo., March 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- OBERD, the industry-leading patient-reported outcomes (PRO) vendor, will promote several new partnerships at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons' (AAOS) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, March 6 – 10, 2018.
The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) has chosen OBERD to provide a PRO data collection system for their members to support multi-center research studies. Dr. Romeo (ASES President), Dr. Levine (ASES Vice President) and Dr. Kuhn (ASES Chair of the Multicenter Study Taskforce) will each be present at different times at OBERD's booth to explain the benefits of the collaboration to ASES members.
The AO Foundation has joined forces with OBERD to provide a PRO data collection system for members in the US with plans to increase access globally by the end of 2018. Kokeb Abebe (Managing Director, AO Patient Outcomes Center) will be available at OBERD's booth to describe how the system relates to AO Foundation aims, and the benefits to AO Foundation members.
OBERD will promote its ongoing collaboration with ShoulderJAM, to provide a data-rich Shoulder Registry that combines patient-reported outcomes and specialist clinical forms. Dr Abboud (Rothman Institute) and Dr Murthi (Medstar Union Memorial Hospital) will explain why they chose OBERD and how the registry is intended to benefit research into upper-extremity practice.
The Regenerative Orthobiologics Registry (ROR) is the official registry of The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI), and leverages OBERD's healthcare data registry platform to advance evidence-based care to standardize regenerative orthobiologics procedures. Kwadwo Boachie-Adjei, ROR's Chief Technology Officer, will present on the registry and how it represents a united initiative to improve data collection in the field of orthobiologics.
In addition, OBERD will promote its exclusive Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) versions of all AAOS-recommended outcome forms, saving up to 60% of the patient burden while maintaining the validity of the original scores. Dr. Plummer (Chief Scientist) will present OBERD's approach, and position OBERD-CAT as the future of outcomes data collection.
