Oasis Collections is selected as an Endeavor company and plans global expansion under leadership of new senior management team members
MIAMI, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Oasis Collections has been selected as one of the 16 high-impact entrepreneurial companies at Endeavor's 53rd International Selection Panel in Florianopolis, Brazil. Oasis has created a new offering in the hospitality space, bringing hotel-like service to private property rental. Oasis also grants its guests access to private members' clubs and social happenings, offering a uniquely insider perspective on its destinations. Endeavor is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support high-impact entrepreneurs with the greatest potential for economic and social impact in their regions. "Joining Endeavor provides us access to a world-class global network which will help to support Oasis' expansion strategy throughout the Americas and beyond," said Parker Stanberry, Co-Founder & CEO.
Furthermore, Oasis is excited to announce the addition of hospitality guru Katharine Pottinger to its management team. Pottinger will serve as Chief Hospitality Officer, overseeing Guest Experience as well as leading the company's expansion in the U.S. and Europe. Pottinger previously launched Quintessentially in Argentina and was most recently a partner at Massimo & Partners, a boutique hospitality consultancy. "Considering Oasis' unmatched experience and the fact that more travelers are choosing to stay in private homes and apartments, we are extremely excited about the expansion opportunities for our brand in the coming years," said Pottinger. This hire comes on the heels of other recent additions; in 2013, Matt Harty and Doug Scherrer joined as COO and CFO, respectively. Harty brings with him to Oasis over ten years of experience in the consumer internet space, most recently at IAC, while Scherrer was formerly an investment professional at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm.
After successfully launching Miami as its first U.S. destination in December 2013, Oasis is planning a global roll-out, with its next destinations set to include New York, Mexico City, Barcelona and Paris.
