OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cannabis industry affiliates can now earn money--as a commission for themselves and as a matching community donation--when promoting Oaksterdam University online courses. To meet the growing demands for qualified growers, staff, and representatives in the cannabis industry, Oaksterdam University has created a new Affiliate Program to attract more students to its online educational programs to participate in the cannabis industry. OU will pay $100 total every time an OU online program is sold through that qualified affiliate; $50 to the affiliate and a matching $50 donation to a nonprofit of the affiliate's choosing. If the approved affiliate happens to be a not-for-profit or nonprofit, they may choose to keep all the cash.
Affiliates may choose from a variety of ad banners to place on their website/social media sites. When potential students click on the proprietary banner, they will be sent to the Oaksterdam University website. OU will track users for 10 days and if they purchase the Indoor Horticulture Online course, a donation and commission will be posted, to be paid out quarterly. Additional programs will also be available for the Affiliate Program and will be announced later in 2018. Anyone enrolled early will automatically enjoy the additional program commissions.
This program is a win-win-win for nonprofits struggling for funding, cannabis industry affiliates who want to do a good deed while earning money, and Oaksterdam University. With the recent launch of Oaksterdam's online platform, students can now access the most comprehensive indoor cannabis horticulture information from anywhere in the world. All online courses have been developed by the cannabis industry's top subject matter experts who are practitioners in their fields including such instructors as Natalie Darves, Joey Ereneta, Jeff Jones, Kyle Kushman, Richard Lee, Big Mike Parker, Robyn Pierce, and Ed Rosenthal as well as several experienced attorneys.
Priced similarly as OU's Indoor Horticulture Seminar, the online program offers over 16 hours of presentation material and 35 different lessons based on the latest actionable information and techniques to give students a solid foundation for entering the cannabis industry or expanding personal growth. OU's online courses are student-centered and use learning resources to facilitate information sharing. All presentations, material, and exams are accessible through the OU Learning Management System, an easy-to-use, mobile-friendly, and password-protected system. Students work at their own pace and will have 180 days in which to complete the coursework, which is organized into multiple modules consisting of overviews, presentations, grow labs, and quizzes. Focused on everything from seed to harvest, OU's coursework begins with federal and state laws and covers necessary topics related to successful law enforcement encounters, constitutional rights, horticulture and business best practices and more. Learning tools range from written material and videos to interactive media to help students master the content. Students can interact with each other, alumni and faculty in OU forums.
Not only will students from around the globe benefit from Oaksterdam University's exceptional and well-respected educational programs, affiliates in countries and U.S. states where cannabis is legal will also benefit from having more qualified candidates from which to choose to work in the cannabis industry.
