Nydia Laner Promoted to Senior Vice President, Latin Sales & Marketing, Universal Music Distribution
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) has promoted Nydia Laner to Senior Vice President of Latin Sales & Marketing for Universal Music Distribution (UMD). The announcement was made today by Amanda Marks, Executive Vice President and General Manager of UMD. Formerly, Ms. Laner was a senior sales executive with Universal Music Latin Entertainment (UMLE), the world's leading Latin music company.
In this new role, Ms. Laner will lead, develop and manage all sales and marketing initiatives for Universal Music Latin Entertainment (UMLE) and all of UMGD's Latin labels. She will oversee physical and digital product, new releases and catalog for the division.

Ms. Laner has held several senior sales positions while at Universal Music Group including Senior Vice President of Sales for Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Vice President of Sales for the Fonovisa and Disa labels, and Vice President of Latin Sales for UMGD. Before joining UMGD, Ms. Laner was the National Sales Director at Aries Music Entertainment, leading the sales of all company products to domestic and Latin accounts, both retail and wholesale. Prior to that, she was National Sales Director of Lideres Entertainment Group where she held similar responsibilities.
