NYC Business Integrity Commissioner to Join T&M

NEW YORK, Oct. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- T&M Protection Resources, LLC, a global security and investigations firm based in New York City, announced today that Michael J. Mansfield, commissioner and chair of the City of New York Business Integrity Commission (BIC), will be joining T&M as vice president of Corporate Investigations.

Commissioner Mansfield is a veteran prosecutor credited with strengthening the BIC, the law enforcement and regulatory agency created in 2001 to combat organized crime and other forms of corruption in the City's wholesale markets and in the private carting and shipboard gambling industries.

He will join T&M after 29 years in public service, notably as a top prosecutor in the Queens District Attorney's Office.  His many successful cases against international identity theft rings and other economic crimes led Mayor Michael Bloomberg to recruit him as BIC's head in 2007.

Commissioner Mansfield earned numerous promotions during his 23 years as a Queens County prosecutor.  He ran the investigations division and managed the 600-person office as the executive assistant district attorney for operations.

He started in law enforcement as a New Haven, Connecticut police officer, leaving to obtain his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law.  He has also taught at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and at Queens College.

Commissioner Mansfield will join the Corporate Investigation team and work with Robert H. Silbering, a former Special Narcotics Prosecutor for New York City.
