NXM Labs Establishes the Center for Autonomous Security & Data Integrity to Support Industry-Wide Effort to Create Next Generation Trusted Systems
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- NXM Labs Inc., a leader in autonomous security and data integrity, today announced the formation of a corporate research laboratory focused on research initiatives and industry collaborations to enable new ways of creating secure, trusted devices and systems. The Center for Autonomous Security & Data Integrity (CASDI), will be headed by NXM's co-founder and CTO, Jay Fallah, serving as the organization's Chief Research Officer.
Cyber espionage, warfare and headline-grabbing intrusions are the new normal, along with the increasing financial and operational stresses created by tightening privacy regulations. Adding to this burden is the looming need to retrofit existing networks, computers, and applications with encryption that can withstand a quantum hack. With such mounting challenges, new ideas and solutions that create inherently secure – and therefore trusted – systems with iron-clad data protection and advanced data analytics capabilities are urgently needed.
Autonomous Security (AS) is based on the principle of automated devices and systems that manage their own security without human intervention. Fully scalable and trustworthy, AS systems provide unparalleled security, data privacy and analytics capabilities.
"NXM is developing commercial technology that is foundational to security and IT infrastructures, ultimately improving the safety and quality of our digital lives," said Scott Rankine, co-founder and CEO of NXM Labs. "We will continue to expand our academic, business, and industry relationships with the goal of developing and deploying innovative technologies that can create inherently trusted environments for the new products and data services that make up our increasingly connected world."
NXM aims to lead collaborative research efforts involving a diverse group of experts from a wide range of industry sectors, academic disciplines and government agencies to advance visionary solutions to real-world threats. NXM believes that providing a forum for this discourse is the best way to identify new technologies, use-cases and commercial solutions.
"NXM's collaborative research efforts span cryptography, blockchain, IoT, 5G, machine learning, data analytics and quantum proofing," said Fallah. "I'm looking forward to working closely with our existing and new partners and research collaborators as we expand and manage these activities under the CASDI umbrella."
