NW Plus CU Awarding $8000 in Scholarships to High School Graduates in Washington

EVERETT, Wash., Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its ongoing dedication to community in Everett, Wash., and surrounding areas, GOBankingRates client NW Plus CU will award $8,000 in college scholarships to graduating high school seniors and post-secondary students who submit applications by this March. Available to all NW Plus CU members, the merit-based scholarships will be awarded based on candidates' academic record, community service, school activities and an educational goals essay.

"The high cost of college can be daunting to students or families and can sometimes even dictate whether or not someone pursues their education," said Casey Bond, managing editor for GOBankingRates. Details of the scholarship opportunities include:

Deadline for application submission is March 11, 2015.
Decisions will be made in May 2015.
You must be a NW Plus CU member or the child of a member to apply.
