WASHINGTON, Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nursing Home Complaint Center believes that each year thousands of US citizens die from sepsis or septic shock because they were not properly cared for in a nursing home. If a family is mourning the loss of a loved one who recently died from diagnosed sepsis, or septic shock, after a stay in a nursing home, a rehab center, or a skilled nursing facility the family is urged to contact the Nursing Home Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466 to see if compensation might be possible. There are currently 1.3 million US citizens in nursing homes nationwide. http://NursingHomeComplaintCenter.Com
According to the Nursing Home Complaint Center, "Our typical conversation with a family member that calls us starts with a story about an enraged emergency room doctor who just told a family their mom, or dad has sepsis, and it was never treated at a nursing home, or a rehab center, and now the person is in the ICU of a hospital, or they are now being given the last rites. To us at the Nursing Home Complaint Center these individuals with sepsis, or septic shock, are most often victims of extreme negligence, and we want to hear from families this has happened to and hopefully try to help them get compensation."

What is sepsis? According to the Mayo Clinic, "Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening complication of an infection. Sepsis occurs when chemicals released into the bloodstream to fight the infection trigger inflammation throughout the body. This inflammation can trigger a cascade of changes that can damage multiple organ systems, causing them to fail. If sepsis progresses to septic shock, blood pressure drops dramatically, which may lead to death."
According to the Nursing Home Complaint Center, "Based on years of experience the typical nursing home patient we hear about was never properly cleaned, or maintained at the facility, the patient developed bed sores that were never treated, and the patient ultimately developed an infection called sepsis, and now someone's mom or dad is dead. In most cases we hear about, the victim was sent to a hospital ER after it was too late to do much for the patient.
"If your loved one who was being treated at a nursing home, or rehab center has recently died with the cause of death being sepsis, or septic shock in any state please call the Nursing Home Complaint Center at 866-714-6466 for a discussion about possible compensation." http://NursingHomeComplaintCenter.Com
