NurseWise Awarded Health Information Product (HIP) 2 NCQA Certification
ST. LOUIS, Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NurseWise, a national multilingual nurse triage and health education provider, today announced it has been awarded the Health Information Product (HIP) 2 certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
NCQA's HIP 2 certification is based on rigorous evaluations conducted by a team of health care professionals. A national oversight committee of physicians analyzes the team's findings and awards or denies certification based on compliance with NCQA standards.
"NCQA's HIP 2 certification demonstrates our emphasis on continuous improvement and commitment to quality at all levels of the organization," said Kim Tuck, RN, President and Chief Executive Officer of NurseWise. "For our clients and those they serve, it reflects our dedication to the highest quality service and assistance in addressing health, wellness and disease-prevention needs. With HIP 2 certification, our client partners can easily delegate their NCQA Member Connections (MEM 7) requirements to NurseWise."
Adding NCQA certification further reinforces NurseWise's standing as a top-tier nurse triage and health education provider. By providing and administering comprehensive health programs, NurseWise helps improve health outcomes for the populations its clients serve. According to the NCQA, by working with certified HIP vendors, NCQA accredited health plans receive automatic credit (100% compliance) toward their own accreditation survey. The result is a streamlined survey process and strengthening of partnership between high-performing organizations.
"Earning NCQA's HIP 2 certification demonstrates that an organization has expertise in gathering and disseminating healthcare information for health plan members," said James LaFlamme, NCQA's Vice President, Product Delivery.
