ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Numotion's Board of Directors has announced that as of July 28, 2014, Mike Swinford will be the company's new Chief Executive Officer.
Swinford joins Numotion after a highly successful 22-year career at GE where he worked primarily for GE Healthcare Services, running businesses ranging from $200 million in annual revenue to over $5 billion. His most recent position was as President and CEO of GE Healthcare Global Services.
"I am thrilled to join Numotion," said Mike Swinford. "I look forward to helping our employees continue and enhance the great service we provide to our customers, their families and our referral sources. The company's mission and growth opportunities are the principal reasons I joined the Numotion team."
Numotion specializes in providing mobility solutions for individuals with complex medical mobility limitations. Over the past 18 months, the company has grown into the industry's largest complex rehab technology company, following the merger of ATG Rehab and United Seating & Mobility.
"As a veteran of the complex rehab industry, I am truly excited to add a leader like Mike to Numotion's management team and to the industry," said Bob Gouy, another Numotion director. "Mike's energy and passion around our mission and his leadership skills will serve us well as Numotion and our industry face the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing healthcare environment."
Paul Bergantino, Numotion's former CEO, will remain with the company as a consultant during the transition process.
"Paul has been a leader in our industry for many years, and his contributions, especially during the merger of ATG Rehab and United Seating & Mobility, are greatly appreciated," said Tim Burfield, one of Numotion's directors. "This is a time of significant growth for our company, and we look forward to the addition of Mike to our team, as he has a demonstrated ability to grow and lead multi-location, service-based businesses."
