Nuix CISO Chris Pogue to Present Keynote at SecTor, Canada's Premier IT Security Conference
TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Global technology company Nuix today announced its Chief Information Security Officer, Chris Pogue, will present this week at Security Education Conference Toronto (SecTor), Canada's premier cybersecurity conference.
With his presentation Retaking Surrendered Ground: Making Better Decisions to Fight Cybercrime, Pogue brings a unique perspective as one of the world's leading cybercrime investigators, with more than 2,000 breach investigations under his belt. Drawing from more than 15 years of experiences as a military officer, law enforcement and military instructor, and ethical hacker, Chris leads Nuix's security services organization, in addition to overseeing critical investigations and contracts, and key markets globally.
"It's exciting to have Chris at the conference again this year," SecTor director and co-founder Brian Bourne said. "Not only does his background speak volumes and he is well-known around North America's IT security circles, he has a special relationship with the SecTor community and his ability to engage with our audience only adds to the experience."
"His dedication to fighting cybercrime and the knowledge he has from his career is just one part of what Chris brings to the table," Bourne said. "When he takes the stage this year, I know our audience will be captivated, entertained and informed."
Nuix has enjoyed tremendous growth and product innovation in 2016, including the announcement of Nuix Insight Adaptive Security, the first endpoint security platform to tightly integrate cybersecurity threat prevention, detection, response, remediation, and deception in one solution. The company is poised to launch Nuix Insight Analytics & Intelligence later in 2016, a powerful data analysis platform for security and forensic intelligence that rounds out the Nuix Insight product line.
Also this year, Nuix extended its eDiscovery suite with new solutions and product releases, as well as Nuix Voice Powered by Voci, a speech-to-text engine that allows customers to discover previously inaccessible recorded speech content at up to 200 times the speed of manual transcription.
Pogue's SecTor appearance will join keynote speakers Edward Snowden, Mikko Hypponen and Laura Payne's panel on the conference mainstage. Attendees can visit www.sector.ca/speakers for more information.
