Former Direct Selling Association President Brings 40 Years of Industry Experience to Board
PROVO, Utah, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS) today announced that Neil H. Offen, recently retired president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Direct Selling Association, has been appointed to the company's board of directors.

About Neil H. Offen
Offen served as president and chief executive officer of the 100-year-old Direct Selling Association from 1978 through 2011. In addition, he served as secretary of the 63-nation World Federation of Direct Selling Associations and as vice chairman of the Direct Selling Education Foundation. Before joining DSA as a staff attorney in 1971, Offen was legislative and administrative assistant to a United States Congressman and, prior to that, served with the U.S. Department of State's Agency for International Development. In 1994, he was appointed by President Clinton and confirmed by the United States Senate as vice chairman of the board of directors of the Inter-American Foundation through which he held diplomatic status for the U.S. government.
Offen has served on the board of trustees of the Hudson Institute and the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Council of Better Business Bureaus, National Retail Federation, the Small Business Legislative Council and the Ethics Resource Center.
In 1983, Offen was inducted into the Direct Selling Hall of Fame and in 1987 he was awarded the designation Certified Association Executive. In 2003, he was selected Association Executive of the Year by Association Trends, the profession's weekly publication. In 2011, Offen received the Circle of Honor award from the DSEF, and was honored by the DSA with its first ever and lifetime achievement award, which will be permanently called the Neil H. Offen Lifetime Achievement Award. Offen has published both legal and non-legal articles and has lectured on a variety of topics at numerous universities. A member of the D.C. Bar, he received his juris doctor degree from George Washington University and his bachelor's degree from Queens College.
