NSX Releases October 2011 ETF/ETN Data Reports
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- National Stock Exchange, Inc. (NSX®) announced that assets in U.S. listed Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) and Exchange-Traded Notes (ETN) reached $1.08 trillion at October 2011 month-end. This is an increase of approximately 15% over October 2010 month-end when assets totaled $940.4 billion. At the end of October 2011, there were 1359 listed products.
ETF net cash flows for the month totaled almost $23.9 billion, bringing the year-to-date net cash flow total to approximately $101.6 billion. ETF/ETN notional trading volume during October 2011 totaled almost $2 trillion, representing 34% of all U.S. equity trading volume.
