NSU's Huizenga College of Business to Honor Prominent Business Entrepreneurs
FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla., Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Nova Southeastern University's (NSU) H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship is proud to announce three well-known business leaders who will be inducted into the 2016 class of the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, the Huizenga Business College's highest honor: Angelo Elia, Steven W. Hudson and Roger Penske.

"Each honoree's story is exceptional and it will be my privilege to share their accomplishments at our awards ceremony in April in the hopes that they will inspire the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs."
The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship's Hall of Fame program is celebrating its 27th year in 2016. The Hall of Fame awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at Signature Grand in Davie, FL, and is by invitation only. The nominees and their respective accomplishments include:
- Angelo Elia is the acclaimed Italian-born chef/restaurateur whose impressive roster of dining establishments includes three Casa D'Angelo restaurants (Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Paradise Island/Bahamas), as well as a growing chain of wildly-popular small plate Italian eateries – Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar, Tapas (Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Delray Beach and Coral Springs). Since the original Casa D'Angelo first opened its doors in 1998, it has remained a South Florida dining destination and Elia, its talented chef/owner, is one of the most well-respected and successful Italian chefs and restaurateurs in the country. Elia's culinary acumen and inviting attitude has earned him tremendous praise and recognition from local and national media and has garnered him numerous awards including Zagat's America's Top Restaurants.
- Steven W. Hudson serves as CEO of Hudson Capital Group (HCG), a position he has held since June 1997. HCG is a private firm that invests and manages money in private equity, select start-up ventures and real estate holdings. Since inception, HCG has developed over 3,000 apartments and condo units in Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando and Dallas. Additionally HCG, through its affiliate companies, owns and manages warehouses, retail centers and office buildings throughout South Florida. In 2008, Hudson added the title of Restaurateur, subsequent to taking over Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill, now Boatyard, in Fort Lauderdale, a 13,000 square foot waterfront restaurant. Hudson is active in philanthropy through his involvement in many local charitable organizations.
- Roger Penske is the founder and chairman of Penske Corporation, a closely-held, diversified, on-highway, transportation services company whose subsidiaries operate in a variety of industry segments, including retail automotive, truck leasing, transportation logistics, transportation component manufacturing and professional motorsports. Penske Corporation manages businesses with revenues in excess of $25 billion, operating in over 3,300 locations and employing over 50,000 people worldwide. Penske may be best known by the American public for Penske Performance, Inc. whose teams compete under the "Team Penske" banner have produced 424 major race wins, 487 pole positions and 28 national championships.
Mike Jackson, chairman and chief executive officer, AutoNation, Inc. and 2010 Hall of Fame inductee, became chairman of the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame program in 2015. The Entrepreneur Hall of Fame was established in 1990 to honor the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs and recognize them for contributions made towards bettering the communities in which we live.
