Bearings manufacturer continues commitment to environmental leadership
ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- NSK Americas (NSK) today released the results of its 2012 sustainability initiatives, demonstrating the company's ongoing commitment to achieving environmental excellence. The year's impressive accomplishments show that NSK saved:
- 30,689 trees - equivalent to 379,134,000 sheets of newspaper
- 38,766 gallons of gasoline - enough to drive a mid-size car 1,083,600 miles
- 747,865 gallons of oil - enough to heat 3,703 homes for a year
- 11,306,821 gallons of water - enough to meet the daily needs of 150,747 Americans
- 44,087,565 kilowatt hours of electricity - enough to power 5,376 homes for a year
