NPRA Praises President Obama's Action on Regulations
WASHINGTON, Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Charles T. Drevna, president of NPRA, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association, today issued the following statement:
"President Obama's announcement today that he has ordered a review to identify federal regulations that can be eliminated because they hinder economic growth and job creation is welcome news for every American. At a time when unemployment tops 9 percent and our nation's vital manufacturing base is shrinking, President Obama is acting in the nation's best interests. By removing unnecessary regulatory burdens, the president can free up the mighty engine of our free enterprise system to create jobs and bring a return to prosperity for families across our nation.
"NPRA, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association, stands ready to work with the White House, the Environmental Protection Agency and the rest of the federal government to support President Obama's efforts to stimulate the creation of millions more American jobs through the elimination of unnecessary regulations."
