NPRA Praises EPA Decision to Delay GHG Reporting Deadline
WASHINGTON, March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Charles T. Drevna, president of NPRA, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association, issued the following statement today in response to an announcement by the Environmental Protection Agency regarding the agency's Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program:
"EPA's action delaying the reporting deadline under its Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program is a sensible step that will benefit both the American people and businesses across the nation by providing better quality information. Taking a little extra time to get this program right makes more sense than rushing to meet an artificial and inflexible deadline. Our members have been working for several years to develop an accurate greenhouse gas database for their refineries and petrochemical manufacturing facilities, and we recognize the need for a quality reporting program. We appreciate EPA's action today."
