NPGA Launches Partnership With Breaux-Lott Leadership Group
Partnership Will Supplement Existing Lobbying Efforts
WASHINGTON, March 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) has a more extensive legislative agenda than ever before. As a result, NPGA launched a partnership with the Breaux- Lott Leadership Group to enhance the propane industry's advocacy efforts in Congress. Over the next year, this strengthened legislative team will aggressively support federal legislation to grow the industry.
"The propane gas industry is an American industry, providing clean energy for a variety of applications," said Senator Breaux. "The commonsense policy solutions offered by NPGA are something that both Democrats and Republicans can get behind."
This partnership will expand NPGA's ability to reach additional policymakers on issues most important to the propane industry, including climate change, tax policy, and propane vehicles. Moreover, NPGA and Breaux-Lott will work to reform the Propane Education and Research Act.
"This new relationship between NPGA and the marquis firm led by Senators Lott and Breaux puts us in an exceptional position to achieve our industry's policy objectives," stated Rick Roldan, NPGA President and CEO.
The propane industry enjoyed excellent relationships with Senators Breaux and Lott during their terms in office. "I am pleased to be working with NPGA and America's propane industry again, and see no reason why we can't make major progress on the key issues of the day," said Senator Lott. "Together, we will expand advocacy on industry issues and cement our visibility among policymakers."
