WASHINGTON, July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- President Blaise Compaoré of Burkina Faso will address an NPC Newsmaker at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, n the National Press Club's Zenger Room.
Compaoré, who has been president since 1987, will give his assessment of the results of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit taking place in Washington Aug. 5-6.
He also plans to speak on his role as a regional mediator to resolve conflicts in West Africa.
Burkina Faso, which means "land of the honest people," is home to Africa's largest film festival, The Panafrican Film and TV Festival of Ouagadougou.
