NPA Brings Expertise to Natural Products Expo East
Leading Natural Products Industry Trade Association Discusses Regulatory Changes and Booming Business at Annual Trade Show
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Natural Products Association (NPA) will once again play a featured role during Natural Products Expo East, running September 17-20 at the Baltimore Convention Center. NPA, the nation's largest natural products industry trade association, will host a series of seminars and events highlighting evolving federal regulations and showcasing what's next for the organization and the industry.
With the hiring of CEO Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., former Director of the Division of Dietary Supplement Programs at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), followed shortly by the addition of Corey Hilmas, M.D., Ph.D., former Chief of the agency's Dietary Supplement Regulation Implementation Branch, as SVP of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, the association has revitalized its focus on providing premier regulatory education, bringing the unmatched expertise of the top two former dietary supplement officials to all industry stakeholders.
"In today's natural products regulatory arena, it is more important than ever for industry to be well-versed in its responsibilities as legitimate manufacturers and retailers of natural products," said Dr. Fabricant. "Dr. Hilmas and I, as well as the entire NPA team, view Expo East as an opportunity to speak directly with as many people in the industry as possible about this changing landscape. We want to ensure that natural products continue their growth in the marketplace, and that NPA members know how best to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment."
