Now Available -- The Land Report Rockies special issue
The Magazine of the Western Landowner highlights four ranching families who are taming the West.
DALLAS, July 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Magazine of the American Landowner announces the launch of The Land Report Rockies special issue presented by Mirr Ranch Group, a Denver-based real estate firm specializing in unique landscapes adjoining national parks and public lands, legacy working ranches, and rare sporting and conservation properties in the American West.
"Historically, the Rockies have been the gateway to the American West, which is why we believe it deserves its own special issue. This region offers unrivaled opportunities for investment, enjoyment, and conservation," says Land Report editor Eric O'Keefe.
The issue's cover story features in-depth profiles of four ranching families who are winning the West through collaboration, not confrontation. Issue sponsor Ken Mirr is a board member of the Western Landowners Alliance (WLA), and it was at Mirr's behest that WLA executive director Lesli Allison authored the roundup. "We have found over the years that our clients want more than just learning the basics of purchasing and owning a ranch. They want to create a legacy and invest in the land through understanding the ranch's ecosystem, conservation values and applying management techniques that make a positive impact on local landscapes and Western communities," says Mirr, who drew on his experience as a public lands attorney to pen a primer on federal and state lands for the special issue.
Corinne Garcia profiled Montana's exclusive Yellowstone Club. The longtime Land Reporter serves as editor in chief of Big Sky Journal. Her narrative details the hows and whys of the most successful private residential community in the US. Other properties featured include the Rockies' top ten listings: Utah's West Creek Ranch ($149 million), Colorado's Cross Mountain Ranch ($100 million), Colorado's Nottingham Ranch ($100 million), Wyoming's Spring Gulch Ranch ($69 million), New Mexico's Cerro Pelon Ranch ($65 million), Colorado's Four Peaks Ranch ($58.5 million), Montana's IX Ranch ($58.5 million), Colorado's Piedra Valley Ranch ($46 million), Colorado's Owl Mountain Ranch ($42 million), and Colorado's Motherwell Ranch ($39.5 million).
"I'm pleased to announce that our Rockies special issue enjoys rock-solid distribution, courtesy of The New York Times, in Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York. In addition, it was hand delivered to attendees at the 2018 Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference," says Land Report publisher Eddie Lee Rider. As with every issue of the Magazine of the American Landowner, it will also be available at FBOs nationwide.
