Joe Peta joins Novus with nearly 20 years experience as both a buy-side and sell-side equities trader. Following his tenure at Lehman Brothers, Joe joined UBS' electronic trading group and developed research on the firm's unique trading flow and value of analytics for investors. He later moved to Nomura Holdings as executive director of equity trading, helping to build the firm's technology trading desk.
After leaving Nomura in 2011, he took his interest for analytics and financial analysis to the next level, writing a memoir, Trading Bases, a Story About Wall Street, Gambling, and Baseball, which examined the overlap of critical reasoning used in baseball's front offices and by asset managers. The widely-hailed book was named a "Top 10 Business Book" by Amazon.
Joe holds a MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Accounting from Virginia Tech.
