ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ARC, the financial settlement link between airlines and travel sellers, reported today that the consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by U.S.-based travel agencies increased 4.02 percent* year-over-year in the first eleven months of 2014 compared to the same period last year, totaling $84.1 billion versus $80.9 billion in 2013. November 2014 sales were down 2.2 percent at $6.0 billion compared to November 2013 at $6.2 billion.
Ticket transactions through November 2014 increased 2.24 percent over the same period in 2013 to 136.5 million. Year-to-date passenger segments increased 2.82 percent to 344.9 million, compared to 335.2 million in 2013.
