Nova Southeastern University Appoints Kelly Gregg as Vice President for Clinical Operations
FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla., March 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nova Southeastern University (NSU) President and CEO George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., recently announced the appointment of Kelly Gregg as vice president for clinical operations. In this role, Gregg will report directly to Jacqueline A. Travisano, M.B.A., CPA, NSU's executive vice president and chief operating officer.
He will be responsible for the oversight and centralization of NSU's division of clinical operations, which consists of 25 health care centers in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The centers offer dental, vision, medical, speech, psychological services, behavioral health and physical and occupational therapy services, among others.
Gregg will also be responsible for the full revenue cycle, from pre-registration through collection, contracting, credentialing, and marketing and communications. In addition, he will ensure that training needs of academic programs are met and that research opportunities are made readily available for all academic centers.

Gregg brings to NSU more than 35 years of business experience in the health care environment including specialized expertise in finance, revenue cycle management and medical practice administration.
He comes to NSU from Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group (Tampa) were he served as chief financial officer and senior manager of a 110 provider multi-specialty practice group with more than 400,000 annual patient encounters in primary care, medical specialty care, surgical care, ophthalmology/optometry, rehab services and hospital based services. He served in a similar capacity with Carolina Regional Orthopedics (Rocky Mount, N.C.). Previously, Gregg was chief operations/development officer with Health Associates of Kentucky (the physician practice arm of the University to Kentucky Medical Network) and chief financial officer for the Sedona Healthcare Group (Chapel Hill, N.C.), a physician practice management group.
Gregg recently completed the successful transition to ICD 10, the 10th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Disease and Related Health Problems (ICD), a medical classification list by the World Health Organization (WHO). Other highlights of his professional accomplishments include the development of an Accountable Care Organization in partnership with Walgreens under the CMS Medicare Shared Services Program, and development and interior workflow for a new 165,000 square-foot facility that won several engineering awards.
Gregg received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University in California. His professional memberships include the Medical Group Management Association, Healthcare Finance Management Association and American College of Healthcare Executives.
