Noted Product Liability Lawyer Joins Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan

MILWAUKEE, April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP announced today that Nathaniel "Nate" Cade, Jr. has joined the firm's Milwaukee office as a partner.

Mr. Cade is an experienced litigator with a particular emphasis on product liability, professional liability and ethics, complex commercial litigation, construction law, and insurance defense. He has conducted numerous trials, mediations, and arbitrations across Wisconsin and throughout the United States, first-chairing more than a dozen bench and jury trials, as well as several arbitrations.

Mr. Cade's product liability experience includes representation of a major tire manufacturer as a regional counsel responsible for seventeen states, the defense of clients in asbestos lawsuits and Magnuson-Moss claims, and a defense verdict as part of the trial team for a Fortune 500 company in the first lead paint lawsuit in the country in which the plaintiff could not identify the manufacturer.

Mr. Cade regularly defends major companies and small businesses in complex litigation, has litigated numerous claims against insurers on behalf of corporate policyholders, and has defended numerous errors and omissions claims against architectural firms. He also represents Wisconsin lawyers before the Office of Lawyer Regulation, an arm of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, in ethics violations and professional misconduct proceedings.

Mr. Cade received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He was recognized as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer in Civil Litigation Defense and as a Leader in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal. He is a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council, an exclusive, non-profit association of product manufacturers and leading product liability defense attorneys; co-chairs the Product liability Committee of the ABA's Section of Litigation; and is a member of the ABA's Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
