NorthWestern Energy Promotes Crystal Lail to Vice President, Controller
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Oct. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (NYSE:NWE) announced today that Crystal Lail has been promoted to the position of Vice President and Controller. The promotion was affirmed by the company's Board of Directors during its October meeting.
Lail, 37, joined NorthWestern in 2003 and has served as Assistant Controller since 2008. Prior to joining NorthWestern, she was an auditor for KPMG. She replaces Kendall Kliewer who has announced his decision to leave the company in January 2016.
"Under Kendall's leadership we have built a top-performing accounting team," said Brian Bird, CFO. "Crystal is a strong leader in her own right, and her promotion now enables us to make a seamless transition by the time Kendall departs in January."

Lail is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Evangel University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sioux Falls. She grew up in South Dakota and works from the Sioux Falls office.
