Northwest Names Tim Huber Executive Vice President
WARREN, Pa., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Timothy A. Huber has been named Executive Vice President of Northwest Savings Bank in his position of Chief Lending Officer.
In this position, Mr. Huber will continue to oversee the lending activities conducted by the $8 billion bank including commercial, residential and consumer lending operations as well as leading the development of lending strategies, practices, policies, and objectives. In administering the bank's loan portfolio, Mr. Huber will continue to manage the mix of loans, loan yields and credit exposure to maximize profitability and minimize losses. He will continue to chair the Criticized Assets Committee and Co-Chair the Senior Loan Committee. He remains a member of the Senior Management, Credit, Asset/Liability Management, Operating, and Business Development and Marketing Committees. Mr. Huber will keep his seats on the Boards of Directors of Northwest Consumer Discount Company and Northwest Settlement Agency, LLC., and he will continue to report to the company's President, Bill Wagner.
Starting as an Internal Company Auditor in 1985 in Erie, he moved to Warren in 1987 as a Commercial Lending Officer, then Vice President of Commercial Lending, and from 2000 until his appointment to Chief Lending Officer in 2009, served the bank as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending. While he headed the Commercial Lending Division, he was instrumental in growing the division's loan portfolio from $241 million to $1.6 billion and increased the number of lenders from six to 61. Under his direction as Chief Lending Officer, last year, Northwest Savings Bank originated over $1.8 billion of loans.
Mr. Huber is a native of Warren. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master of Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Warren YMCA and was named its Volunteer of the Year in 1996. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Warren General Hospital, a member of the City of Warren Blighted Property Review Committee, a member of the City of Warren Redevelopment Authority, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Warren County Industrial Development Authority. Mr. Huber is also a member of the Conewango Club and the Conewango Valley Country Club.
Mr. Huber and his wife, Cheryl, live in Warren. They are the parents of Jeffrey, who resides in Arlington, Virginia, and Gary, a senior at the University Park campus of Penn State. Mr. Huber is a son of Jerry and Ruth Huber of Warren.
