LINTHICUM, Md., May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has appointed Douglas A. Lawton vice president, Engineering Manufacturing and Logistics (EM&L) for two intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR)-related divisions at its Linthicum-based Electronic Systems sector, effective immediately.

In this position, Lawton will have executive responsibility for all EM&L programs and processes that support the Airborne ISR & Targeting Systems division and the Space ISR Systems division. He will report to Nicholas Paraskevopoulos, vice president and general manager of Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics.
Lawton joined the company in 1983 and has held a number of leadership positions in engineering, program execution, supply chain management and manufacturing. He previously served as director and deputy for the Undersea Systems business and as vice president, supply chain management. Most recently, he served as vice president, Electronic Systems manufacturing.
Lawton earned bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland. He is also a graduate of Harvard University's General Managers Program.
