Northrop Grumman Announced as Presenting Sponsor of The American Veterans Center Honors Broadcast
The first televised awards show honoring our military heroes
WASHINGTON, Oct. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Veterans Center (AVC) is proud to announce that the Northrop Grumman Corporation will serve as the presenting sponsor of the AVC Honors program on Nov. 8 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. This event honors military heroes from conflicts ranging from WWII to Afghanistan, where all demonstrated valor, honor and sacrifice above and beyond the call of duty.
The event will be filmed, making it the only televised multi-generational awards program for our nation's military heroes. The Honors will air the week of Veterans Day on DoD News, which airs on military bases around the world, and the Reelz network that reaches 66 million homes around the country.

A Northrop Grumman representative will help present the Raymond Davis Award to the 65th Infantry Regiment, The Borinqueneers, for their service in the Korean War. This predominantly Puerto Rican unit was highly influential at the port of Hungnam and the Battle of Outpost Harry. Earlier this year, Congress voted to award the unit the Congressional Gold Medal.
Northrop Grumman board member, AVC Advisory Board Chairman and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Richard Myers will also be the evening's Honors Chairman.
