HERNDON, Va., April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2014 Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards, which recognize chief financial officers and financiers for extraordinary achievement and excellence in promoting the development of the Greater Washington region's technology community. Now in its 18th year, the NVTC-produced awards program honors individuals in the following categories: Public Company CFO of the Year, Private Company CFO of the Year, Emerging Growth CFO of the Year, Large Company CFO of the Year, and Financier of the Year, which is presented to an individual who has contributed to the economic development of the Greater Washington region's technology community. In addition, the Michael G. Devine Hall of Fame Award will be presented to Ron Kaiser in recognition of his contributions to the Greater Washington region's technology business community.
Winners in all five categories will be announced at the awards banquet on June 2, 2014, at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va.
The Public Company CFO of the Year Award finalists are:

The Financier of the Year Award honors an individual or firm representing venture capital, private equity investor or investment, merchant, or commercial banker who has contributed to the economic development of the region's technology community. The finalists are:

- Carter Griffin, Updata Partners
- LLR Partners
- Tom Roberts, Harbert Venture Partners (HVP)
These awards are a joint endeavor of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the chairmanship of the event is rotated among the four accounting firms. The chairman of this year's awards program is Mark Callihan, a partner at KPMG.
