Northern Lights Expands Audio Division, Opens John Storyk-Designed 5.1 Surround Sound Suite
NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern Lights recently launched a new 5.1 surround sound audio room, designed by famed architect/acoustician John Storyk of the Walter Storyk Design Group. Storyk also designed the original Jimi Hendrix Electric Lady Studio as well as private studios for Jay-Z, Timbaland, Alicia Keys, Goo Goo Dolls, Aerosmith, and the performance venues for Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The suite represents a continuing expansion of Northern Lights' audio division, which is currently home of award winning talent Ted Gannon and Damon Trotta.
"I've always wanted a Storyk room so I'm very excited," comments Northern Lights Emmy Award winning Audio Engineer Damon Trotta. "We designed the room to make sure it fit all of our needs and outfit it with flexibility and Millennia's, Distressor's, Neumann's Protools HD, Logic 9, and surround Focal Monitoring."
"The room sounds excellent, and looks wonderful, " said Northern Lights Partner Mark Littman. "We rely on the creative energy the audio team brings to every project. And with this new room, we can push that even further," said Northern Lights Executive Producer Robin Hall.
Current projects include a series wrap for USA's #1 show "Covert Affairs", Food Network's "Private Chefs of Beverly Hills", and a Macy's Back-to-School spot for Nickelodeon.
