North Jersey Community Bank's Jehan Sanders Selected by New Jersey Bankers Association as 'New Leader In Banking'
Award Honors Outstanding Leaders for Their Work and Success in the Industry
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- North Jersey Community Bank (NJCB), the fastest growing bank in New Jersey, announced today that Vice President of Relationship Banking, Jehan Sanders, has been selected as one of the 2010 "New Leaders in Banking" by the New Jersey Bankers Association and NJ Banker magazine. Recipients are determined by an independent panel of judges, none of whom are active bankers, and are recognized as rising stars of the banking industry who are making significant contributions to their institutions and communities.
Sanders began working at NJCB five years ago, and holds over 12 years of experience in the banking industry. At NJCB, she is primarily responsible for the bank's depository growth through relationship building, and serves as the bank's liaison to the community, as well as the client advocate to the bank. Sanders also acts as a bridge between customers and the bank's ability to provide the services requested, and is instrumental in customizing solutions to meet NJCB clients' unique needs.
"In my 12 years of banking experience, I have learned an incredible amount and have been presented with challenges for which I had to quickly and efficiently find solutions," said Jehan Sanders of winning this honor. "Exploring and uncovering innovative ways to form meaningful relationships between the bank and its clients has been a highlight for me and allowed me to succeed in my career."
"Jehan's role at NJCB is crucial as it begins the moment a prospect is introduced to NJCB and continues through the acquisition process and evolves into meeting the ongoing needs of the client," said chairman and CEO Frank Sorrentino III. "She has exceeded expectations in her role, and it is because of dedication like hers, to our customers and community, that we have been so successful in customer acquisition."
Sanders serves on the board of directors for The Greater Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce, and is an active member of the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Lee Rotary Club. She volunteers for the CFA Institute program, the American Cancer Society, and is a member of the Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC). Additionally, she is a committed volunteer for Bergen County's nonprofit organization Shelter our Sisters, where she teaches women about the basics of banking and financial stability.
