North Hollywood CineFest Spotlights Indie Stars and Visionary Celebrities
LOS ANGELES, March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 4th Annual North Hollywood (NoHo) CineFest will run March 24-30, 2017 at the Laemmle NoHo7 Theater, in the heart of the world famous "NoHo Arts District." This international film festival will showcase more than 100 films, from around the globe, over seven days. This year, the festival will host actress Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us) and showcase her short documentary about the global refugee crisis titled Can't Do Nothing.
Celebrities scheduled to attend the red-carpet event on opening night on March 24 from 6:30pm-9:30pm at the Laemmle NoHo 7 Theaters, include Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us), Anne Dudek (Grey's Anatomy), Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story), Dolph Lundgren (Expendables), Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), Briana Evigan (Step Up All In) and many more.
The festival supports the California Health Collaborative and the Global Health Corps, a leadership development organization focused on health equity, co-founded and run by former first daughter Barbara Bush.
New this year, NoHo CineFest has taken over the production of the Los Angeles Student Film Festival (LASFF) for high schools students from all around the city. The films will be played in the theater and awards will be given out to the 3 best films.
On Thursday, March 30, the festival will close with its glamorous industry panel, produced by MixKnowledgy, at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood. Speakers include producer Tony Roman Emerald City, attorney Bianca Goodloe (Bourne Identity), casting director Lindsay Graham (Jackie, Suicide Squad) and David Rapaport (Gossip Girl, The Flash), and screenwriters Melanie Marnich (The OA), Abdul Williams, BET's The New Edition Story, Lauren Hynek and Elizabeth Martin (Mulan 2018). The evening will be capped by the CineFest Awards ceremony.
