North Carolina Selects Thomson Reuters for Healthcare Reporting and Analytics
ANN ARBOR, Mich., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services has awarded Thomson Reuters a five-year contract to provide a healthcare reporting and analytics system.
The system will enable the State of North Carolina to better manage all of its health programs — including Medicaid, North Carolina Health Choice, Community Care of North Carolina, Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, and Public Health. It will contain data on approximately 1.8 million beneficiaries.
The project includes implementation of a customized data warehouse on the Oracle Exadata database platform utilizing SAS business intelligence tools and Advantage Suite®, a Thomson Reuters solution that combines a customized repository of healthcare data with a comprehensive set of analytic tools.
"We are proud to partner with the state of North Carolina on this powerful business intelligence system," said Jon Newpol, executive vice president for the Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters. "We are confident it will enhance the State's ability to manage the cost and quality of healthcare in North Carolina."
